A year has passed since I attended college. I find myself reflecting on this significant period of transition, as I am now embarking on my second year of engineering. The journey thus far has been filled with both only disaapointments.
As I look back on my school days, I cannot help but remember about the time when I was a bright student, eager to gain knowledge and strive for excellence. However, upon entering college, I gradually diverged off course. The charm of the big city had surrounded me, transforming me into a different person altogether.
Coming from a small town, I was unfamiliar about city lifestyle. I immersed myself in this new world. However, I got caught up in this web and lost focus on my studies and academic goals.
My aim of being a good student and achieving great heights seemed to disappear in the wake of these distractions. I found peace in my own world, one with no boundaries or goals. This ultimately proved to be a stumbling block in my academic journey.
Time brings wisdom and growth. I’m still trying to find my purpose in life. I appreciate the value of education and personal growth. I’m still not focused on finding my path.
The journey of academic life can be a roller coaster ride, filled with ups and downs. The struggles dampened my motivation, making it challenging to perform. It’s not uncommon for even the most dedicated students to fall and face difficulties.
The professors teasing me added an unfortunate twist to the story. There can be various reasons why they might have done so. Their actions might have been attempts to motivate or push me towards improvement, although it’s regrettable that it made me feel like one of my nightmares.
Bunking classes and failing to recognize some of my professors may have contributed to a sense of disappointment and shattered the myth of being a good student. It’s important to understand that we all make mistakes and deviate from our paths. What truly matters is how we respond to these challenges and setbacks. It’s an opportunity to learn and grow.
It’s great to have support from friends. However, it seems that despite their guidance and motivation, something did not quite work out as expected. It can be disheartening when our efforts do not yield the desired results, however setbacks are a natural part of human journey.
I found myself in deep trouble at the brink of the engineering semester’s finish line. I had been squandering my parents’ hard-earned money for a full four years. With just a few months to go, I finally realized the gravity of my blunder. But it was too late.
As a mechanical engineer, I’ve been in hibernation mode for the past four years. It’s like I’ve mastered the art of not doing anything great. its my dumbness which I have transformed into an art now.
The journey of independence has begun after college. I am now venturing out on my own, and although I am currently facing challenges in finding a job and managing my finances. I have made the decision to stop relying on financial support from my parents, and although it was initially a nice experience, it has taught me a valuable lesson. Two years have passed and it has been a true eye-opener, revealing lessons I should have learned during my college days. I owe money to my friends and unable to return but I am optimistic about the future and determined to find the right direction.
As destiny would have it, my long journey of overcoming challenges was finally coming to an end. A glimmer of hope appeared on the horizon. I managed to successfully clear a job interview, despite it not being my strong area. Coming from a different background, I never imagined I would have the opportunity to work for a company unrelated to my degree.
This is the beauty of life, where hardship only propels our determination to become even stronger. I am grateful to have learned a valuable lesson. Without this experience, I would not have gained such invaluable knowledge.
