I caught a bus from Paris porte maillot at 10 AM in the morning and arrived at Brussels north train station around 2 PM. It was an incredibly comfortable journey and guess what? It only cost me 7 euros! with flixbus. Despite being unfamiliar with the city, the people there were absolutely amazing. When I randomly asked a lady on the train for directions to my hotel, she went above and beyond. Not only did she get off the train with me, but we also hopped on a tram together. She even dropped me all the way to my hotel! I was completely blown away by her kindness. Brussels has completely changed my perception, making me realize that not every place is like Paris when it comes to friendliness.
Belgium is totally famous for its mouth-watering chocolates, yummy waffles, and awesome beers. I must say, my absolute favorites were Duveel and Stella. Stella is like you get everywhere, but Duveel has this totally unique taste that’s like nothing else. And let’s talk about waffles and they’re mouth watering and irresistible. Belgium has so many varieties of waffles, you won’t believe it. I seriously miss them in London for sure.

The Waffle Factory and La Funblue serve up the absolute best Belgian waffles you can find in Brussels. Btut there was this one place called 250 Beers that had an enormous collection of beers. Unfortunately, it’s closed now. Belgium also rocks at making chocolate. You gotta try some of the most famous chocolate ever made from this place.

Mennicken Pee is this cool little statue with some interesting history behind it. Legend has it that it’s got a bunch of crazy stories about this little boy taking a pee. And check out the Royal Palace of Brussels! It’s like the official place for the monarch and his wife with tons of cool restaurants and pubs nearby. I took a sweet stroll from the royal palace to Mennicken Piss, and let me tell you, both of them look even more awesome at night. It was totally breathtaking!
One of the many places I couldn’t wait to explore while I was in Brussels was Atomium and Mini Europe. These two attractions are located close to each other, yet they offer separate access and require separate tickets.

Every city is known for its unique structures or buildings of historical significance, and Brussels has its own- the Atomium. This extraordinary structure is composed of spheres interconnected by cylindrical shapes. Inside, there are stairs that connect one sphere with another. At the very top, the highest sphere offers panoramic view of the entire city of Brussels. Moreover, there are charming restaurants where you can spend your time and enjoy the cityscape.
While the Atomium provides a magnificent view, there is another attraction that is simply irresistible- Mini Europe. Located nearby, it is a park that showcases the diverse architecture of European cities. In one place, you can see at the miniature replicas of famous landmarks from various European nations, which truly highlights its uniqueness.
After a long day exploring the wonders of Brussels, it’s finally time to put my tired little feet up in my hotel room.I treated myself to some Moules frites – which was chef’s recommendation and couple of Duveel beers to relinquish my thirst. Just when I thought my hunger was truly satisfied, I couldn’t resist the call of the Belgian waffles which does not disappoint while in Belgium.
Now, it’s time to bid Brussels farewell and get ready for my next adventure in none other than the fabulous city of Amsterdam.
But first, a good night’s sleep to recharge for all the fun that lies ahead…
